Fall Weekend At Milgate

Thursday Flash Fiction Week 28: Innocence and Dreams

The soaking leaves, red, yellow, hand shy,
Tumbling in the crispy air,
The sharp eyes spy a miracle of hope,
I'm counterclockwise...
Did I miss my vacation
last April in Florida?
or Late June in Tennessee?
Autumn is everywhere,
Baring trees with forces that dare,
Without truce or sympathy,
Blond hair, butterfly knots,
Ripen wheat and fruitful walnuts.
The day sops gin all the time to see the picture
of the puzzle, nature has its plots,
Life emerges from water and wood, life from life.
